Google Apps Help at Your Fingertips

You may have already noticed a new icon in Google Apps, in the upper right corner of the screen. This is an extension for Chrome that Google has made available and we have installed on all district devices. If you click on it, you will get a menu of help options for whichever Google Apps screen you are currently working on.

What's nice about the help files is that they are not simply videos or documents, they are interactive tutorials on your own screen. You will get a step-by-step explanation, just as if someone were sitting with you, looking over your shoulder, pointing at the screen.

This is a Chrome extension, so you have to be using Chrome (not Firefox or Safari or anything else). You also have to be logged in to Chrome using your "mysaddleback.org" account. (By the way, this means you can install and use this at home, as long as you are signed in to your "mysaddleback.org" account as well.)

Try out the tutorials, and if you have further questions about Google Apps or Chrome, let me know!
