Aeries Gradebook problem in Chrome for Windows 55

Eagle Software has confirmed that the Aeries Gradebook has sporadic problems when being run on a Windows computer using Chrome browser version 55. (How do I know which version I have?) The problem shows up as an inability to add assignments or edit existing grades; it is as if the gradebook is in "read-only" mode, letting you see but not change your gradebook.

To fix this problem temporarily, you can clear your browser cache. (Click here for instructions on how to do that.) This will clear up the problem, at least until it recurs. The permanent fix will come with version 56 of Chrome, which is currently in beta testing, and which Eagle Software says fixes the problem for good. Version 56 should be released soon; your Chrome browser will automatically update when it is released.

You can also use a different browser; we have not had any reports of this problem in Firefox or Safari. We do not recommend Internet Explorer under any circumstances.

If you have questions about this, or other Aeries problems, you can email me or contact the help desk.
